If you know an aspiring artist why not buy them some art materials for Christmas. I bet that’s what they really really want!

These are on my Christmas wish list!
Colour Pencils: Caran D’ache
Caran D’Ache pencils are superior high quality.
Aquarelle Colour Pencils
Watercolour made simple!
I love using pastel pencils.
Every artist constantly needs a supply of new brushes.
These palettes are great but as an alternative you could just use an old ceramic plate!
Watercolour Paints Set
Watercolour technique has to be learned!
Oil Paint Set
You can’t beat painting in oils but you could come close with:
Acrylic Paint Set
A3 required for serious sketching and A5 for when you’re out and about!
Useful for any graphic artist.
I highly recommend Derwent pencils.
Ah, the great Rotring pens. I still have my Rotring technical pen. Happy memories!
Charcoal for bold loose drawings.
I couldn’t live without my drawing boards.
I wish I had room for a proper heavyweight A1 artist easel.
I really want a light box!
I’ve got a Wacom graphics tablet and it came with some great free art software, upgrades and a link to a brilliant help forum. I could not recommend this more highly for designing straight to your computer or to clean up your scanned artwork for digital use.
Anything I’ve missed?
Happy Christmas everyone!
